Description: Fascinating set of 4 vintage prints of works by Naama Nothmann Israeli artist. The paintings were done in 1984 and the prints may date close to that. I think some were exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Depicting scenes of Jerusalem in an abstract collage style. Titles are.....Spring in Jerusalem, Jerusalem Dove City, Dove of Peace and A look at the wall in Jerusalem. The collage method was an accident after Naama's daughter splilt a drink on some artwork and a salvage operation followed giving rise to a new style for the future. Naama moved to South Africa but was born in Jerusalem, she studied in New York. These prints were framed in Glenhazel Johannesburg so probably printed there also. Each one has the artists signature and 84 for 1984 within the print image plus the title bottom right. Framed with chrome metal finish on wood and mounted behind glass. Measure 13 inches across and 11 tall, image sizes are 8 inches x 6. Condition of 3 is good with no real issues, minor wear to frames if any. The Dove of peace one has had some moisture incursion at some point with slight discolouration of the red card mount and warping of the original card backing coveredd with brown paper, slight undulation of the paper print would straighten with a new firm card backing. Interesting and rare pieces, good luck. Please see my other items.
