This item made I believe to be c1900 as a souvenir trade. Shah Jahan erected many splendid monuments, including the famous stunning Taj Mahal in Agra. This beautiful piece is painted on a delicate light oval background with vibrant colors and artistry and rest in a great hand carved floral and leaf detailed background frame of a dark heavy wood martial with a metal single copper metal hinge-pin connected stand. It is a stunning piece in lovely condition with only some nicks in the frame and on portraits edges as well fine age cracks showing on the material painted surface as some age cracks, some light fading of portrait, some dust particles remaining in detailed wood carving, some slight oxidation or rusting of metal stand as well as some signs of bending of metal and some fine scratches from use and care. This is a stunningly beautiful detailed piece of art and a great collector piece for souvenir and memorabilia from what is still considered by some of The Seven Wonders of the World.
