Offbeat horror film about Dr. Seth Ember, an exorcist (Aaron Eckhart) who uses scientific investigation and methodologies to rresolve exorcisms rather than relgious dogma and ritual. Dr. Ember must enter the mind of an 11 year old boy to battle the force that has overtaken him, forcing the doctor to overcome his own demons in the process. Eckhart is excellent and this film will shake you up as it goes in unexpected directions. One of the best recent films involving the concept of possession and giving a new spin on exorcisms.
