Description: Imperial German World War I 2nd Class Iron Cross Decoration – non combat. Measures 1 11/16” wide by 1 11/16” tall. The front shows a King’s crown on the upper arm with a ‘W’ in the center. The lower arm is dated ‘1914’. The reverse side shows a King’s crown with the letters ‘FW’ on the upper arm. There are three oak leaves in the center with the lower arm being dated ‘1813’. The round attached ring is marked ‘800’ signifying the silver content. Includes the non combatant machine embroidered cloth woven ribbed cotton ribbon. The Iron Cross is three piece construction with an iron magnetic center. Scarce. Very good condition.
