ICONIC! Very fuzzy chunky 100% wool unisex Lebowski Cowichan sweater! SO COZY!

Description: Here's a stunningly beautiful, iconic Cowichan style sweater in pure wool that is very thick, heavy and WARM! Reminiscent of the cardigan worn by Jeff Bridges in "The Big Lebowski", it's a classic look that really never goes out of style. As you can see, this gorgeous pullover is very chunky, fuzzy and has an amazing woolly texture that makes it super cozy on. It's a timeless piece that is sure to become an heirloom...passed down from generation to generation... I'm certain that this one was hand crafted, and undoubtedly from 100% pure wool, likely Icelandic wool at that. Bring out your inner 'Dude' in this wonderful ethnic sweater! But be aware that it's far too warm for the bowling alley though... There are no tags present at all but I'll guess the size as a woman's Large or Men's Medium, based on the measurements and how it fits me. The bust measures 21 inches from armpit to armpit, unstretched, and I can stretch it out to only 24 inches as it's very tightly knit. The width of the body does taper down a little also to 18 inches from side seam to side seam at the hem, again with a couple of inches of give here as well. The overall length is around 25 inches from shoulder to hem and the sleeves are 24 inches from armpit to cuff. Overall this ultra-cozy sweater is in very nice true-vintage condition yet and I can find no flaws to note. I will add that there are a few irregularities and inconsistencies in the knit that are characteristic of a hand-crafted sweater, but I don't consider those flaws. I did hand wash it in lavender oil Eucalan, conditioned it and gave it a gentle brushing to restore the wonderful woolly texture and remove any pilling and matted down spots...so it's all refurbished and ready for a few more decades of enjoyment. From a casual day out shopping, to a weekend camping, to an afternoon at the pumpkin patch, to the ski lodge...and so many more... Natural fiber garments also may shed due to the nature of the fibers. This is not a defect but is a normal aspect of this type of clothing. Sometimes care may be needed when pairing fuzzy sweaters with other clothes to ensure that the loose fibers don't leave fuzz on your skirt or pants, etc. For reference, our model is about 5ft 6in, with measurements around 36C/D-31-43. All sweaters are measured for bust/length/sleeves but additional measurements are available upon request.
