Description: Up for sale is an extremely large vintage handmade Chinese wood and bamboo box.it's deeply carved by hand with intricate figural scene on the lid with a lovely lacquered finish.the trim and sides of the box are wrapped with a hand woven, deep brown colored, bamboo and is a very tightly done weave.the lid sits recessed into the base which has feet on the bottom of all corners.the box is very heavy and overall in nice condition.it measures 21 1/2 inches long by 20 1/2 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches tall.there are two age cracks on the figural scene as shown in photos.
