Description: This stunning oval-shaped brooch/pendant features a beautifully carved shell cameo set in 14k yellow gold. The intricate details of a womans profile. The piece is handmade and vintage, adding to its uniqueness and charm. make a statement wherever it is worn. Cameo appears to be signed in the stamp Approx 2.5" x 2" carving is done very well. The shell is carved masterfully to show blush on her cheek, and give her chest a touch of color . The carver uses the properties of the shell to also lightly add a bit of color to the rose and the flowers in her hair. I am uncertain of the year created I believe it to be in the 1960's or 70's in accordance to the style of the woman. In my opinion it appears to be vintage. More on the modern side and opposed to being antique. This is only in my view and I have no credentials to validate my assessment, so there is a possibility for it to be older or newer. I have owned it for 20 years so it had to be created before then.
