Description: Huge ABP American Brilliant Cut Crystal Glass Punch Centerpiece BowlPresented is an incredible quality, huge size, glass punch bowl made during the American Brilliant Period of the late 19th century. This piece was most likely made around the 1890s and it could be used as a large serving, fruit or centerpiece bowl as well. The rim is done in a ruffled or undulating form and is cut along the top with rounded teeth. The sides are deeply cut with classic hobb-stars and fans. The center has a large, star cut pontil mark. This piece is not marked, but was most likely manufactured by a high end maker such as Tuthill, Libby, Hawkes, Sinclair, Fry, Clark or Waterford.This bowl is in great condition for its age. There is a crack to the bottom, that is not visible when the bowl is filled and the crack does NOT cause the bowl to leak. There are a few very small chips along the rim that can be smoothed down. There are no large chips. Diameter: 14 3/4 inches.Height: 6 inches.The liquid capacity of the bowl is approximately 22 cups or 5.2 liters.Weight: 13 pounds and 11 ounces or 6.2 kilograms.
