HUGE 35" Antique French Napoleon III Wall Shelf, Kingwood & Ormolu, Sevres Plaq

Description: Elegant & rare antique French Napoleon III era 35 3/8" tall wall hanging niche style shelf unique in beautiful rosewood & kingwood veneers, carved wood framing & turned columns, center mirror and hand painted Sevres style porcelain medallion! WOW, just in from France and was I amazed at the size of this one! Impressive in every aspect, it's a huge 35 3/8" tall and 25.5" wide. A wall mounted console consisting of a large base shelf surface and four smaller shelves flanking the mirror and held or secured by those beautiful turned & carved rosewood columns. Framed in carved wood, the entire back panel and shelf surfaces are all veneered in warm rosewood veneers. Book matched kingwood or "king's wood" panels set into the back, all framed in bronze stringing, as are the edges of the shelves and Sevres medallion. A museum quality decorative piece on its own but also perfect to display a few treasured smalls, portrait miniatures or sculptures perhaps? Rare to find and especially in such wonderful condition, don't miss it! Very good to excellent condition. Just beautiful, as you can see! No missing or damaged veneers that I can see. There is one segment of the bronze stringing missing from the top right side shelf edge and there is a repaired or glued break to the front 3/4" of that shelf (visible in the pictures). The mirror has some age loss and/or wear to the silvering (the mirror would be very easy to replace if you wish though, removable from the back). There is a small chipped leaf tip to the left side carved final area, possibly a small chip or two elsewhere. See pictures for all measurements.
