Description: For sale are HO slot car parts. Here is a wide gap tyco timed arm. The comm was trued. This is 5.8 ohms per pole electrically balanced. This arm was also well balanced mechanically as I see none of my epoxy on this arm. The stack was dyed blue. At 5.8 and balanced mech. and elec. this probably is not "legal" for most races but for the price a great fun arm That may need other Tyco "Tweeks" to keep the car on the track. Just speaking on gap, not diameter, there is a .055" gap which is the current style with Tyco and Tomy that some consider "narrow" gap. The “wide” gap arms at .085" which is the old style Tyco, the Aurora G+ at .105" and some unique ones I ran across which I called "Big Gap" at .125" and "Grand Canyon" at a whopping .155". With inline racing, the wide gaps seemed to out perform the narrow gap arms. you have 2 issues at play here. 1>less metal = lighter arm 2>electrical field is different due to 1. The common arm became both narrow gap and crimped tabs, both soldiered tabs and wide gap arms were deemed not legal in many groups. Tyco Wide Gap Armatures fit Tyco 440 and 440X2 chassis, Wizzard Patriot Storm, Slottech Panther - Thundercat - T1, T2, T3, Mega G (with shaft trimming) Original AFX G-Plus (with shaft trimming). Our local racers feedback of the wide gap arms especially has been great and are some of the best arms for the “stock” type parts such as ceramic magnets, and the rest of the stock type parts.
