She always accompanies the Take version of this Kachina, and harkens back to when the prickly pear fruit was an important staple to the Hopis. This beautifully effective example, standing 8 inches tall, was carved by the talented and respected carver, Martin Dallas, of Moencopi. Martin carves with a with a sensitive vitality, and his work is always reverent and sincere.
