The colorful townfolk include a Justice of the Peace (Frank Morgan) who's good pals with John Barleycorn, a fiery do-gooder (Marjorie Main), a long-suffering dancehall girl (Claire Trevor) and a law-unto-himself sheriff (Albert Dekker).
