Description: Homemade 3 Inch Paring Knife Carbon Steel Blade Wood Handle Copper Collet In the early 1940's B. F. Goodrich was gearing up to fulfill many WWII contracts involving rubber that were soon to come. This knife is from the production floor of their Akron plant and was used by an employee as some sort of trimming or fretwork tool specific to a particular manufacturing process. I have acquired a set of seven different knives this person used over the years while at Goodrich. This one is a homemade item, apparently by one of his co-workers. 3" carbon steel blade, serpentine wood handle, copper collet, straight edged flexible blade. Very nice workmanship. B. F.
