Description: Please see the pictures above. Ducks were captured being poured at H.G. Enderlein foundry in Philadelphia PA. (1925 - 1990) by Ronald Freeman, photojournalist for the National Geographic Magazine. A few photos from the foundry appear in his collection at the Folk Life Department of the Smithsonian Institute. This vintage cast iron (pig iron) decoy duck for sale, was made in a foundry located either on Keystone and Brenner St, in Philadelphia, PA., or Grenloch Lake NJ. Most ducks were made in the 1950's, for family and friends (by one of my family members.) The mold used in the picture above originated at the foundry in Grenloch NJ. Great for decorating a fireplace hearth or outside in a garden or deck. With the duck: You will receive a photo of the cover from National Geographic, the photo of the ducks being poured and tags describing them. I have sold a few ducks on eBay without knowing they were featured in the Smithsonian Institute or that the foundry itself was in the Nation Geographic Magazine. I had heard stories about it but was not certain until now. I am amazed to have this as part of my family's history. I found this duck at the back of my parents property.
