Description: Rollin Karg Studio Art Glass Sculpture Description and Item Information Up for sale is this large Rollin Karg studio art glass sculpture. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This freeform piece has a thick glass casing with a colorful, patterned center; within this center are sparkling, dichroic glass areas, white "threads," gold foil, and clear bubbles. This item measures approximately 13 5/8 inches by 9 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. It has a polished, flat base. Unpacked, this substantial piece weighs 15 pounds 5.7 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio art glass. Identification This Rollin Karg art glass sculpture has an engraved marking, "Rollin Karg," to the lower side. The date is also engraved, and it either says, "2010" or "2000," but I am not certain which since the third number is difficult to make out. My photo of the marks (Photo 6) is blurry, so please ask if you need a better photo. Karg's studio / gallery is located in Kechi, Kansas. Condition This piece looks very good overall, with no chips or cracks. There are some minor, scattered scuffs and scratches, which do not detract overall. The base has some more pronounced scratches, as expected for a heavy glass piece. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
