Description: HARVEY COMIC HITS #60 (HARVEY COMICS 1952). VERY RARE DOUBLE COVER Printing error. KEY BOOK: Features the first appearance of HERMAN AND KATNIP and their first cover appearance. It's the third appearance of "Herman", the first being Casper #1 by ST JOHN PUBLISHING in 1949. In that first issue, the story title was "Herman" and the name of the cat was "Butch the Cat". This issue also represents the second HARVEY COMICS appearance of the following characters: CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST (7th appearance over-all in comic books), BABY HUEY (6th appearance), BUZZY the crow (7th appearance) and LITTLE AUDREY. This issue appeared one month after LITTLE AUDREY #25. This book is 'very-hard-to-find". The outside cover grades at GOOD-VERY GOOD (3.0) condition and the inside cover is VERY GOOD PLUS (4.5) condition. This is a sound but lower-grade copy of this magazine with very good color and some of the original luster. There is a spine roll and there is tearing at the staples along with some small tears along the spine. The staples still firmly bind the cover and all interior pages (centerfold photo provided). The front cover shows some scattered handling impressions and the back cover has some chewing and chipping along the top edge. At the right end of the back cover there is a small chunk out at the bottom edge. Much like the dust cover on a book, the outside cover has offered significant protection, making the inside cover look much better. There is some minor chaffing along the right edge and a small 1/2" tear at the middle of the right edge. The inside rear cover shows a 1/2" tear at the same location as the missing chunk on the outside back cover. This tear also goes through a few of the back pages, but doesn't come close to any story panels. The interior pages look off-white to light cream. Shipping is $5.00 to the United States.
