Description: This is a rare die-cut advertising herald (flyer) promoting the one-night, National Tour engagement of the JAMES MONTGOMERY, HARRY TIERNEY and JOSEPH McCARTHY musical comedy "IRENE" at the Hippodrome in Marietta, Ohio on November 3rd, 1921. (The Original Broadway production opened November 18th, 1919 at the Vanderbilt Theatre in New York City and ran for 675 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... No cast members are mentioned by name in the text of the flyer ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a diagonal fold and moderate edge wear, this rare flyer is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
