Description: The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special aging wax finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. You will receive the EXACT bowl that you see in the first 9 pictures (the last 2pictures are an example of what one of these bowls looks like with candies etc in the individual bowls) It's sort of a cross between our large skinny french bread trenchers and our large full-sized trenchers. PLUS....THIS one has divided bowls built into it so that you can display different things in each one if you like. PERFECT centerpiece accent for a Harvest Table! And BECAUSE of the distressing and waxing process these are NOT suitable for storing raw foods OR wet products in. Measures OVER THREE FEET LONG at 39 1/4" inches. It is 5 7/8" wide and it stands 1 3/4" tall. GOOD weight to this one at FOUR and 1/4 Pounds. This piece has been HAND HEWN (carved out of ONE SOLID Piece of wood). And BECAUSE it is carved from real wood, expect slight splits, rasp marks and similar irregularities. We simply oil, wax and then buff them in to blend in with the surrounding patina. The piece you SEE is the EXACT one you will receive. You can see the wonderful rasp marks in the wood from the carving process.
