Description: This is a vintage Hall bowl that was made for Hotpoint Refrigerators, probably in the 50's. It is a nice mid-sized bowl for baking or serving. The color is burgundy, mauve shade. The design is supposedly an art deco design. The outside of the bowl is glossy, never put into the dishwasher. The rim is unglazed. Stamped on the bottom. As stated above, the bottom shows wear when it was being cleaned. The unfinished bottom wore off in the process. But the stamp is still visible. No chips or cracks. My research shows that the art deco design is a work of art, and the patterns Hall created were actually part of the Detroit Institute of the Arts "American Art before 1950" exhibit. Originally would have had a lid.
