Description: Gregory Perillo is one of today’s most respected and renowned American Western artists. His powerfully dramatic, emotional depictions of Native Americans and early settlers, as well as Western landscapes and wildlife, have made him one of America’s leading painters and sculptors. My dad knew him personally and we were scheduled to sit with Mr. Perillo at a charity event. So, being my dad and I both had paintings, I decided to buy the book pictured in the photos to bring with us to ask him to sign. The book got delivered shortly before this event and I didn’t get a chance to look through it. At the event I described the painting I owned to Mr. Perillo and told him that it said Sioux Chief on the back of the frame. He smiled and said - “That Chief is actually me”, and then proceeded to show me the picture in the back section of that book. He offered to fix the minor damage I explained the painting had and suggested I come by his studio, but I didn’t follow up on his offer. He sadly passed away some years later. Please message with any questions. The book is not included.
