The box has a tight seal, and could be used as a humidor. There are various animals on the top, meticulously carved sides, and bamboo inspired edges. The interior is painted in black, with some polychrome painted carvings on the underneath side of the lid, which some surface wear/discoloration (as shown) . The box is medium-sized, measuring 10.75" wide, 7" deep, and about 3.25" high. The box is in excellent condition, with one exception: there is an older 1.5" sliver to the bottom edge of the box (see last photo), not something readily noticed. Otherwise, it is free of chips, cracks, or warping. It is structurally solid, and ready for immediate use. There is no key.
