Description: Goebel M.I. Hummel # 145 - "Little Guardian" - 3.875" Tall - Crown Trademark (TMK-1) - Master Painter Marked "7" (Fritz Korn) - Closed Edition HUM 145 Little Guardian - TMK-1 Height 3.875" Tall Factory records indicate this hummel was first modeled by Reinhold Unger in 1941. There are some size and color variations between early and newer models. Early models are typically larger. This is a closed edition. See below for the specifications: Has "" Crown Marking (TMK-1) incised on underside of base. It is faded, but visible. Incised "M.I. Hummel" on rear lower side of dress by base. Hummel stands at the medium size of the catalogs' height range of 3.75"-4", standing at 3.875" high. Hand-signed Initial "L" or Number "7" by Master Painter, not precisely sure which. Please refer to pictures. ("7" is Master Painter Fritz Korn, however his mark usually has a horizontal line through the "7" and this one doesn't have the line. Otto Lieb usually signs his "L" in cursive but this one isn't cursive.) Colors are Strong and do retain Gloss. Closed Edition. Hummel is in Excellent condition considering it's age and rarity! No Repairs! No Chips! No Touch Ups! No Crazing! There are two paint rubs, from years of handling, on the edges of the wings. They are Not chips, smooth paint wear with gloss. See final two pictures for close ups. May have some dust from sitting in the China Cabinet for decades. I did not want to damage it inadvertently by cleaning it.
