Description: Antique leatherbound hardcover "Godley's Lady's Book and Magazine. Vol XCIV - from January to June 1877". Front and back covers have detached from the spine. End papers are gorgeously decorated in predominantly red ochre with blue and cream. Spine is quite chipped and shelf worn, as are the covers and text edges. Gilt titling and decoration on spine quite faded. First 32 pages are detaching from binding and are shelf worn and ripped on the outside edges. Previous owner's name in pencil front end paper. Opposite colophon is pull-out of several pages with black and white illustrations. Page 31 completely detached. Several more pullouts throughout. Profuse black and white illustrations throughout. Rest of pages are stitched in tightly to binding.
