Description: *****THIS ITEM SHIPS TO ALL COUNTRIES SERVED BY THE EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROGRAM!***** Greetings and best wishes from Mr.Allied and welcome to my sale! Please have confidence in my 100% honest descriptions and please read the following carefully: This is an Original, American Flyer, "HO" Scale, No. 30325 Alco Freight Train Set, Produced by The Master Craftsmen of The A.C. Gilbert Company of New Haven, Connecticut, Circa 1957. This set is not perfect--but it is truly exceptional and the best one I was ever able to purchase over the many decades I have been collecting. The diesel loco has a diecast metal chassis with a plastic body. I bench tested the loco and it runs, but sluggishly and is in need of a good cleaning & lubrication before it will be able to run nicely, as it has been sitting unused for over 50 years now. Both lights work. The body shell is virtually perfect, showing absolutely no signs of heat damage. One coupler is slightly broken, please see photos. The very difficult to find No. C 4B183 cardboard cover for the locomotive is included. The cars are all in exceptionally nice condition, with nothing broken. I would call them all EX+ to Like New. I have not tested the light in the caboose. I have not inspected the track, so it is what it is, but it looks exceptionally nice. The original boxes are as shown. The loco box has a beautiful plastic window, but is showing a bit more wear that the others and is missing one of the fold-in coupler protectors. It has two cardboard inserts below the "floor" of the box, one at each end. I have only ever seen these once before, as they are almost always missing. All of the separate boxes are nice & clean with all flaps & no tape repairs. The original instruction booklet is included as well as the virtually impossible to find original M-3816 "Advisement" slip regarding the use of the long Alco loco through switch tracks. The set box is showing some wear & tear, but is still very nice, please see photos. Anyway, these old eyes don't see like they used to, so I ask that you take the time to "ZOOM IN" and look the photos over very closely, to determine for yourself just what we have here. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PHOTOS ARE AN INTEGRAL and a VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS LISTING. You NEED to "ZOOM IN" and STUDY the photos very carefully. What you see is what you get. I am selling this Gilbert HO Train Set "as-is, as-found." Please look the photos over VERY carefully and ask any questions you may have, BEFORE you make your purchase.
