The "FLYING V" was released in 1958 along with the company's Explorer, and was released to dispel the image of jazz guitars up until then. Although it has now become established as a GIBSON standard, it was not well received at the time of its release and was discontinued after only a small number of copies were produced. Then, in 1967, changes were made to the look and materials and resale began. This machine is a 2000 model that is a reissue of the specifications of the 1967 Flying V. The wood material is mahogany body, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard. Equipped with GIBSON 500T and 496R pickups, it outputs a wild and powerful sound with a crisp and sharp outline due to the influence of the ebony fingerboard. The paint is lacquered and has faded to a yellowish tone overall, and since this is a 20-year-old guitar, there are some minor scratches from use, but the frets are original and still in use. There is enough left that you can use.
