Description: This historic German postcard is dated October 8, 1943. I acquired this postcard in 1979 in Frankfurt, Germany, at a flea market. I had to barter hard for this deal. WWII era postcards are very collectible with German stamp collectors, and the owner of this beautifully written card demanded much in trade. I don't know anything about the location of the mountainous photograph on the reverse, but the photo is stunning. The obverse has a 6 pfennig canceled stamp featuring Adolf Hitler. This postcard was addressed to a family in Frankfurt on the "Main" River. The postcard is in very good condition for being 80+ years old. There are no creases, rips, tears, or stains.
