Description: Vintage hunter-skinner manufactured by the famous George Wostenholm in Sheffield, England, circa 1930th-1940th. This is a nice and sturdy Hunter with a relatively thick blade and a very comfortable stag handle. The overall quality and balance is excellent; all parts are tight with no play. Ricasso is stamped with the famous I✱XL trademark & the company logo on one side. The blade is a bit pitted and has been cleaned; it's been re-sharpened; it’s very sharp still; the tip is intact. Genuine stag handle and pommel with colored spacers and bronze guard; the handle is tight. The knife is about 8-7/8″ / 22.5 cm overall; the blade is about 4-5/8″ / 11.8 cm long. Original MADE IN ENGLAND brown leather sheath is in great condition, considering the age; the leather is soft and supple still.
