The dish was meant to be put on top of a stand. It would have contained oil and a wick for lighting. The small handle is there for the user to pick up the dish. The texture of the porcelain provides evidence that this is an old porcelain dish. Crafted from high-quality porcelain, this oil lamp dish is a rare find for collectors of Asian antiques. It was definitely never used. There is no oil stain anywhere. The rim has a couple of small chips from age but no major damage. Perfect for display or adding a touch of history to your home decor.
