'General George Washington' Limited Edition 31X29 Framed print by Don Troiani

Description: I have a beautiful Don Troiani, limited edition and custom framed print of General George Washington. This print is presented in a beautiful gold frame and is triple matted in off white, gold and blue to match the General's uniform. This is 268 of 950 limited edition prints signed by the artist (Don Troiani). Don Troiani's stirring painting of 'His Excellency' General Washington and his troops reflect the 'highest spirits imaginable' they felt during the early phases of the Battle of Brandywine on October 11,1777. These were the troops that sported green sprigs in the hats and caps as symbols of hope. These were men that had been beaten at Long Island and White Plains, yet had followed Washington in the bleak retreat across New Jersey, only to rise again and inflict telling blows on the Hessian and British forces at Trenton and Princeton, respectively. His integrity, perseverance, sound judgement and amazing skills of leadership and command would come to symbolize the cause of the United States. Jefferson claimed that Washington 'was incapable of fear'- more likely that he had the inner strength and bravery to control fear and triumph over it under the worst circumstances. What more could you ask from any man? This print was purchased by me in Gettysburg Pa. in the early 90's. It has hung in our Washington Dining room ever since My wife and I are downsizing and there is no way that we can take all of our prints with us. I have shipped several of these framed prints all without issue. I use a heavy duty U-Haul picture box along with a 4 corner Styrofoampicture kit, then I enclose the entire print in bubble wrap and layers of Styrofoam and secure it in the box with no movement of the print allowed. I then send it FedEx Ground with fragile markings.
