Description: Custom designed and made from the ground up my myself, the "IcePac" is designed to fit to the Gekko Science NewPac and Compaq F miners. This listing is for the IcePac cooling jacket and USB splitter only - not the CompacF USB miner itself or the USB hub shown on one of the pics. NO USB MINING STICK INCLUDED! The IcePac slips over the aluminium heatsink and the PCB with zero contact with any components. There are no cable ties, screws or adhesives used, just good ol' design and a good fit! There are intergral stoppers to stop the thing sliding down any further than it should do. USB Splitter / 3 port Hub allows the fan and Compac F to use a single USB port! The unit has been effeciency optimised in CAD with fluid dynamics simulating turbulent air flow - thus meaning the fan has a 15 degree camber, encouraging the air out more efficiently which means less stress on the fan and more efficient cooling. This can be seen by the tilt on the fan on the pictures/renders. I am happily overclocking a CompacF unit to 450mhz and it sits at around 300ghs with minimal warmth on the heatsink. Do this without the IcePac and the thing would die in no time. The IcePac has been 3d printed using carbon fibre filament for long lasting durability (and the cool factor!). It comes with a top brand 40mm fan with an estimated life of 60,000 hours as per the manufacturer's data sheet. Obvioulsy the fan must be kept clean from dust and obstruction. I chose to use premium brand fans as I want these things to last and not fail you (or me). The unit is fitted with a USB plug however you can solder the wires from the fan directly to the NewPac USB header if you are skilled enough to do so. Do this at your own risk The IcePac's runs at 20.6dBA FYI and pulls 0.07a at 5v on its own. Also, FYI, a CompacF running at 450mhz overclocked pulls 1.98a at 5v with the IcePac I cannot guarantee the longevity of your NewPac / Compaq F when used with my IcePac - all I can gaurantee is really efficient, forced air cooling. How you overclock it is totally up to you and at your own risk. If the fan dies, STOP USING your NewPaq / Compaq F - if it is overclocked with no proper cooling, it will die in no time. Note: I have successfully run my CompacF at 500mhz overclock overnight with a hashrate of 335 GH/s. Temp on heatsink is 36 degrees celcius. Temp on rear of PCB is 49 degrees celcius. Do this at your own risk, this is for your information only!
