Description: Local stamp for the Farne Islands, the small archipelago off the Northumberland coast famous for their wildlife. The stamp was prepared and issued by a philatelist and islands-enthusiast on a visit to the islands of North-East England and is believed to be only the second local stamp issue for the Farne Islands following the first issue of 2012. 300 stamps were printed, of which 33 were used on postcards mailed from the Inner Farne island. Issue date 10 May 2016. Denomination £1.00. Rouletted perforations and ungummed, as issued. Black on red paper. Design shows a computerised drawing of the lighthouse on Inner Farne atop the islands craggy cliffs. Approximate size of stamp 48 x 34 mm.
