Description: Once upon a time, say 2000-ish, I thought I'd buy a large lot of GB on paper and spend time looking for varieties. Well I purchased the stamps and spent a couple of weeks looking through them, then put them aside for later. Now 20 years later, my wife has convinced me to part with the stamps that have been in boxes, unlooked at, longer than our youngest grandkid has been alive. Here is 5+ pounds of Machins mixed in with some commemoratives and Christmas issues from the period. The Machins seem to be about 2/3 with a value and 1/3 NVI stamps. Looking quickly through a handful for readable cancellations, I see lots of late 80s and early 90s.
