Description: This is a vintage linen postcard, postally used and postmarked 1944 from French Lick, Indiana. Postcard features the entrance to the French Link Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. Back of postcard reads the hotel is home of Pluto Water. The hotel opened circa 1901 and was initially known as a mineral spring health spa and for its trademarked Pluto Water. Pluto Water was a natural water with laxative qualities, due to the minerals in the water. The water stopped being bottled when lithium became a controlled substance in 1971. After the 1940s, the hotel became known as a recreational resort, focusing on golf, skeet and trap shooting as well as horseback riding. Today, the hotel is part of the French Lick Resort. Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases, stains and bent corners. See pics for details and conditions. Reasonable offers will be considered. Multiple purchases will receive discounted shipping upon request when available.
