User name textiletrunk This textile would add such a wonderful touch aged lightness to any interior. *~ this beautiful antique French bed curtain dates from the 19th century , I would put it right around 1870 ~ it's made from a LOVELY floral damask weave, patterned cotton . The design is a lovely , subtle floral design! This panel was designed to hang from a ciel de lit and the original hooks are still in place at the top ~*. The tone of this textile has aged to the most stunning antique white with a very very subtle tone of gray ~ Absolutely beautiful tone!! ~ This textile is constructed by seaming widths of the wonderful cotton together to create this lovely large textile. I have other pieces that I found with this set that are similar damask patterns but not exactly the same, but they would have been used in the same room , on the same bed! If you search " white curtain" in my store they will appear ! Such a statement piece, ideal for any period home ~ ~ MEASUREMENTS : The wonderful antique French panel measures a whopping 112 inches wide at the bottom !!~ 92 inches long and at the top, it measures 55 inches wide!! CONDITION: this textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ there are some small marks, and some very small holes, but generally this textile is in wonderful condition for it's age and use! Not perfect, but perfectly wonderful with signs of time and use that are often inherent in these antiques ~*~ A textile Treat!!! E C878
