This token is smaller, measures about 20 mm in diameter (about the size of U.S. penny) and weighs 0.3 oz. (for comparison, the standard 1965-2000s $1 slot token is 37 mm in size and weighs 0.7 oz.) and is made from copper. This is a true collector's item! Very few, if any casinos use metal casino tokens in slot machines anymore due to electronic ticketing ("ticket in ticket out") introduced during the early 2000s. The majority of casino tokens were destroyed by their respective properties and the limited amount of existing (especially well-preserved) ones kept by customers will continue to climb in value as the years go on.
