Original etching on heavy wove cream paper. Signed. Unframed. Size: plate size 4 1/4" x 8" (110mmx205mm) A very clear print. A few tiny spots at the margins, and minor soiling, barely visible. The work is titled EN JULEGAVE (a Christmas present) at the lower right. Signed in monogram and dated in the plate at the lower left. The image is in very good condition. Loose leaf. See photos. The work is registered as no. 44 of 168 etchings made by the artist. A print is found at the National Gallery of Denmark. FS was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts 1866-1872. In 1878 he travelled to Spain with P.S. Kroyer, and later made several travels to France. He assisted Carl Bloch as an etcher. Enjoy.
