Francisco Ruiz Ferrandis (1909-1992) Original Surrealist Oil Painting Spain

Description: When I first acquired the painting, it had a frame that was very deteriorated and falling apart so I decided to bring it to my framer, and he did an amazing job reframing it. It measures approximately 11 1/2 x 10 1/4“ framed, and the viewable image size of the painting is approximately 6 x 4 3/4“. The frame is approximately 2 inches thick. It is an oil on wood panel and is signed in the bottom left-hand corner of the front. On the back it is titled- “La Zurriola” -San Sebastian Spain. Below the title on the back, it is signed again by the artist, and there is a number that is repeated from the front, which is 948. There’s also a number on the back in the upper right hand corner 53 which was when it possibly was painted? there’s also some writing on the back in the upper left-hand corner however, it is faded overtime and I am unable to decipher it. The painting does have a bit of around the edges and some crazing in the paint but it is an overall good condition in my opinion. It has an overall raw finish, which definitely gives the painting a moody feeling. The lonely cart sitting in the surf definitely gives the painting a surrealist style. Thanks for your interest.
