Framed, matted, under glass. Plastic frame. Made for Home Interiors in the U S A. 23” long, 17” wide, 1.5” deep. Sir John Lavery was an Irish painter best known for his portraits. He is listed as one of the greatest painters of the late 19th and 20th century. During W.W.I, Lavery was an official war artist. The Imperial War Museum has examples of his works. This portrait, done in 1904, is of Sybil Sassoon, Countess of Rocksavage. It is found today in the Southampton Museum, England. Condition: Excellent. No flaws observed.
