Here is a small, but nice fossil trilobite Reedops, from the Devonian, about 390 million years ago. Long before the first dinosaur. From Atchana, Morocco. The Reedops measures about 0.83 inches. Part of the pygidium is missing (the back part of the trilobite). The matrix is about 2.11 inches across, and weighs 2.9 oz. The eyes are compound, similar to a bee's.
