Description: Welcome to Pioneer Fossils! A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this specimen. Here is a plate with 2 fossil leaves, from the Fort Union Formation, Glendive, Montana. From the Paleocene, about 60 million years old. The leaves are both Zizyphoides flabellum. The largest leaf is about 1.8". The plate is about 4.1" by 3.7", and it weighs 14.5 oz. It is one sturdy piece. The back side has some disarticulated partial fossil leaves. There may be some touchups to the surface of the leaves where pieces of them flaked onto the negative during collection.
