Originally issued in February 1930 (ironically just three months after Black Thursday and the start of the Great Depression), Giant 11.5x14 magazine celebrated the economic vitality of the U.S and its major corporations. Reprinted in 1980 along with a enlightening booklet about the history of the publication, the first issue is a fascinating snap shot of America in 1930. With lavish full page, full color ads for cars, planes, homes and the latest devices (including the Mimeograph machine) issue features articles about the great companies and business leaders including R.C.A., The Rothschilds and how fortunes can be made in The Orient. Complete 180 page issue is in good condition. Cover shows edge wear with minor tears and surface blemishes (as per photos). Spine and back cover are in good condition. Interior pages are glossy with some creasing/ridging on the top border. Pages are otherwise in nice shape, bright and glossy and free of any rips, tears, creases or stains.
