Description: CALL 323 490 3006 with questions, requests, and Prior to purchase/offer CALL 7am to 11am best upto 9pm Ok to try! ANY DAY! Offered to you by a longtime rebuilder of Traditional Pedal Bicycles RALEIGH SUPER RECORD FORK Metallic sky blue Taken from a honestly acquired early 1980s or late 1970s Raleigh Super Record Road Bike, 10 or 12 speeds, had about a 63 cm frame. Bike was meant typically for heights 6-1 to 6-6 BRAKES in Picture NOT Included, they are on a separate listing!!! FITTING Fork's steering tube has about 25cm which would be buried between the bottom of your headset cup( or race) and the the final top locking nut's threaded inside, which you see at the top of your installed neck/stem. 24.5cm about from top of steerertube to middle of lower bearing ball. about 64cm from top in straight line to to MIddle of approx axle position. 63cm of this same above measurement parallel to the steerer tube. SO basically this should work on English,American, Japanese Era bikes of 1970s-80s, ideally whose frames are 60cm to 63cm (22 to 26 in) . When installing for a frame size less than 63cm(26 in), you may have to use more spacers between crown and final locking nut then and be ok with the neck being a bit higher than needed. meant for the Very common standard of the day "1 inch " headset which is still used in many old fashioned new bikes today, and whose replacement parts, spacers, are readily available. Almost all Japanese, USA , and English bikes of Late 1970s/most of 1980s uses same standards. IF you have any uncertainties, CALL ME or consider your local bike expert/store to do measurements. INCLUDES: Fork, Lock Nut Adjustable nut( with raceson top ) and Deraileur stoper/spacer. NO extra washer s included, nor is brake/reflector unless you request so when we talk. COMPATIBILITY / COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED This fork while meant for a 1980 raleigh roadbike Will work for MANY bikes of the 1970s-1980s, and some younger and older as well!! i THINK this is for a very common standard of 96 mm or more likely 100mm axle locknut spacing as it measures extremely close to 100mm. Steel is flexible and if spacing of your hub is within a few mm and locked, adjusted, centered correctly, spokes dished correctly( usually evenly symmetric in front wheel). it should work out ok! This PROBABLY can be used on many raleigh, schwinn, and Japanese bikes from 1970s, 80s. A vast majority of 70s , 80s road biks would use this fork, NOTE that it is meant for 27 inch wheels, the common road bike standard uptil the late 1980s in the western world. the 700c standard was used for more expensive bikes in the 70s,80s, and then became more common in the 1990s. a 700c Wheel could fit here, but the brake reach to the rim will have to be accounted for! WORK PERFORMED IN 2022 winter: 1 Cleaned the forks and hardware, very Gently. 2 Inspected races/cups to be in very good condition, mild wear exist, but shape loss and pitting negligible or minimal. 3 Hand Cleaned carefully, minimized abrasives where i could. Some wood/plastic scraping may have been done. Then afterwards cleaned with soap/water, and applied 2 layers of paste wax. FLAWS Some minor cosmetic flaws exist throughout, this is used, but not abused. I try to show the worst in the pictures. The Bike is came from showed very little wear, police cleared.
