Description: A classic piece of vintage folk art. This beautiful hand carved wood angel is portrayed kneeling in prayer with her wings down. Without her wings, she looks much like the Virgin Mary. The naive craftsmanship is highly appealing. She is made of raw stained wood with no oil or varnish finish. Measurements: approx 8” tall x 7” across the wing tips x 4” deep. Weight: the wood is not heavy or dense and weighs 14 ounces. Unmarked but the original owner told me she was from Bolivia. Condition: one pin that holds a wing in place is different in shape and lighter in color. The lighter color pin leads me to believe the piece is stained. Some dust and a some minor spotting. H569
