Description: BASS FOAM POPPERS Bass foam poppers in 14 color variations. The body is foam while the tail consists of tail deer hair/peacock herl, and flash. The legs are rubber. The eyes are painted fabric paint. The body of these flies are foam cores that I create from floor mats. As such, they lack the cupped mouth typically found on poppers. However, the face of the fly is the textured portion of the floor mat - resulting in a light pop when striped. These flies are very light and can easily be cast with a 5wt fly rod or larger. Currently, most of the flies are tied on a Saber Nymph 2x size 6 down turned eye hook #7031. However, some are tied with a Saber Bass Bug size 12 (very large hooks for a 12!) straight eye #7060. As I sell, tie, restock, I will be replacing the nymph hooks with bass bug hook. See the chocolate colored popper for the bass bug hook. These flies are idea for smaller bass and large panfish.
