Description: Here we have a Vintage FINE Planishing Chasing Metal Worker's Jeweler's Silversmith's Repoussé Hammer with Curved Flared Handle End (2) !! There is no maker's mark. It is in Very, Very good 'used tool' condition, with minor wear from use. There is some minor tarnish marks on the steel head The head is 2-7/8" long with a 15/16" dia. slightly domed face. The BEAUTIFUL wood handle is wonderfully turned with a curved rounded end that fits nicely into the palm of your hand ! There is also a short tapered & flattened area of the handle just under the head. I see NO cracks in the handle. The handle is firmly attached to the handle with a domed brass fitment.
