Description: For sale is a fine vintage Dresden Germany porcelain 5-socket candelabra with applied floral decoration by Sandizell Hoffner & Co.. The piece is 15 1/4 inches tall by 10 inches wide. It is made in two sections, with the upper section fitted into a socket on top of the stem. The pieces have molded scroll decoration and fine applied floral decoration on the tops of the arms and on one side of the base. It has a simple white glaze all over. It is marked on the base with a crowned “N” over “Dresden” in blue, a mark used post-1951 by Sandizell, Hoffner & Co.. Condition on the piece is excellent. The delicate flowers appear to be undamaged. There is some tinfoil and wax in the sockets and on some of the flowers from drips. I have not pulled the two sections apart, though the top rotates slightly. The socket attachments to the arms are somewhat crude. A fine piece of porcelain!
