It originates in either France or perhaps holland~ This fichu was folded and half and worn around the neck with the V facing down the back ~ this is a RARE and fabulous indigo blue fichu! ~ There is a wonderful hand stitched hem on the 2 sides and the other sides are selvage, it was a hand woven cloth ~ 100% hand block printed and resist dyed.
