Description: This listing is for a Fabulous Signed Jan Carlin Mexican Inspired Vintage Wood, Lucite, Bakelite Necklace. This necklace consists of 5 vintage wooden Mexican painted sombreros with tassels (1-1/2" wide by 1" high) 6 red Lucite cylinders with upper and lower rounded caps (1/2" wide by 1" high), and eight Bakelite discs (3/4" diameter) on a black celluloid chain with a brass hook and loop closure. Two of the wooden sombreros are signed on the back by Jan Carlin. The necklace is 24" in length, but could be easily adapted by you if you want it to be a shorter length. This necklace is from my personal collection and I wore it with many of my vintage Western shirts as well as my vintage Mexican Tourist jackets and Mexican circle skirts. Jan Carlin is known for her assemblage pieces using vintage items and objects made of Lucite and Bakelite.
