These primitive cystoids are from the Silurian of Indiana. All three echinoderms are extremely inflated and well preserved. These distinct specimens exhibit very good plate structure - the highly pustulose plates are intact and well displayed. The cream-colored cystoids contrast beautifully with the blue-grey matrix. The distinct fossils are wonderfully displayed on the natural-edged plate of limestone. This is a fine display specimen of three Holocystites scutellatus cystoids from the ancient Indiana.
