This striking specimen was found in the 1980's, and was recently acquired from the Butterfield Collection. This impressive plate has OVER A DOZEN complete trilobites preserved! (some are negatives) The surface of the rock is covered with trilobites, and ALMOST ALL of the trilobites still have their long, thin genal spines intact, which is extremely rare for this type. This is a very prolific multiple Ampyxina plate from a locality that hasn't produced fossils in years. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this item.
